Pastor David Bowen
Pastor David moved to Stratton in July of 2023 with his best friend and wife of 30 years, Mary. He has 5 children, 2 of which live full time in Stratton. David loves the beauty of nature, strategic games, and seeing his teams (Miami Dolphins and St. Louis Cardinals) win. But what makes him most excited is to help people take new steps in obedience to God as they follow Jesus. He is happy to be a part of the community of Stratton and helping the Kingdom of God here in Kit Carson County grow and develop.
Brandi Notter, Board Co-chair
Brandi is serving her sixth year on our Governance Board. She is married to Steven and they have 3 children - 1 in college and two at Stratton High School. She leads with excellence and insight. Brandi is a local business owner and has invested in our community for nearly 10 years.
Christa Gonzales, Board Co-chair
Christa has just completed her first year on the Governance Board. She and her husband, Carlos, have 4 children. Christa helps lead our Children's Ministry at SCOG in addition to serving on our Tech Team.
Jose Varela, Board Secretary
Jose is serving on the Governance Board for his fourth year. Jose is a versatile servant, eager to help in many areas, from worship to children's min to preaching. He is married to Perla and they have 3 children. Their school age children attend Stratton Elementary and Middle Schools.
Benay Brachtenbach, Church Treasurer
Benay is serving her first year on her new term as a Governance Board member, but has served in the past and was serving as in an ex-officio capacity as Treasurer last year. Benay owns a quilt shop and has lived in Stratton for 40 years with her husband, Bob.
Kezia Brandon, Board Member in Training
Kezia is just beginning to serve with our Governance Board. She and her husband, Jason, have 3 girls and have been attending Stratton Church of God for more than a decade. Kezia has served in many roles with children's ministry and is using her gifts as a nurse in our community.
